He was born August 5, 1917 in Gunner, Texas to Joe Knox Davis and Mary Frances West Davis. He retired as Sargent in the US Air Force; was a member of the Blessing American Legion and the El Campo VFW Post.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Davis of Blessing and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2007 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with the Rev. Hill Winfrey officiating. Interment will follow with military honors at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
