Second Cenotaph


Henrietta and her husband Jerry were married in February, 1951 in New York. They had been living in Duxbury for three weeks. They took their 12 foot sailboat out for a sail on the evening of April 11th. When Jerry did not show up for work 2 days in a row at A.B. Sheldon Company in Wellesley a search was launched by the police and Coast Guard. Jerry's body was found in the Cape Cod Canal near the Sagamore Bridge. Henrietta's body was not recovered.


Henrietta was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Benjamin J. Hill of Sylvester, GA. She was a graduate of Emory University.
