Mary Elizabeth Owens, age 68, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 8, 2022. She was a loving Mother, Sister, Aunt, Mamaw, and Friend. She was saved at the age of 15 and was a member of Narrow Valley Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Alma Jarnigan; brothers and sisters-in-law: Frank (Martha) Jarnigan, Clarenance (Ella Mae) Jarnigan, Tom (Joyce) Jarnigan; sister, Marie Watson; daughter-in-law, Brandi Owens; and special niece: Sandy (Dannie) Lamb.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela (Mark) Hale; sons, Timothy Owens; sister, Brenda (John) Ball; brother, Ed (Chris Ann) Jarnigan; grandchildren, Samarah (Buford) Rosser, Nicole (Dale) Johnson, Harmon Southerland, Austin and Elizabeth Owens; great-grandchild, Brandon and Steven Rosser, and Asher Johnson; special nieces who she thought of as daughters, Melissa Owens, Latesha (Max) Valdez; special great nieces and nephews whom she was Mamaw to as well, Brittany (Justin) Johnson, Alicia Valdez, Johnathan (Ariel) Valdez, Courtney (Jeremy) Tindell, Kailey Webb; special great-great nieces and nephews, Cayden Valdez, Adyson Johnson, Peyson Tindell; special friends, Tommy Delias, Deb Holt, Darrell Southerland; as well as many more nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family will receive friends on day, July 11, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Smith Reagan Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on July 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Narrow Valley Baptist Church with Jay Sexton, Robert White, and Justin Johnson officiating. Graveside service to follow at Narrow Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers: James Jarnigan, Jessie Jarnigan, Zach Whitt, Max Valdex, Johnathan Valdez, Dale Johnson, Buford Rosser, and Jeremy Tindell; Honorary Pallbearers: Austin Owens, Brandon & Steven Rosser, and Asher Johnson.
