John Roy Wade
January 6, 1957 - July 5, 2022

John Roy Wade, born January 6, 1957, in Macon, Georgia to the late John Julian Wade and Loyce Butler Wade. He was the Grandson of the late John F. & Mary Wade and Roy & Lily Butler. He passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

Roy grew up in Cary and graduated from Cochran High School where he was a member of both 4H and FFA where he showed hogs at the local and state fairs. He was a farmer at heart and farmed on the family property from the time he was old enough to walk. He worked for both the J.M. Huber Corporation and was the plant manager at Carmeuse Lime & Stone. Roy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He attended Salem Baptist Church.

Roy is survived by the love of his life, wife Dale Wade of Cochran; daughters, Tonya Odom and Ashley Fountain and her husband Jody both of Cochran; grandchildren, Abby Patat, Lila Odom, Cannon Odom, and Lane Carter Fountain; sisters, Nancy Woods and her husband Owen of Newington, Georgia, and Gloria Wade (Clyde Smith) of Graniteville, South Carolina; special nieces, Julie Lee and her husband Jason of Jessup, Georgia and Jennie Kile and her husband Terry of Newington, Georgia; aunts Johnnie Davis and Polly Wade.

Funeral services will be Sunday, July 10, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church in Cochran. Reverend Tony Harmon will officiate. The family will meet friends from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service at Salem Baptist Church.
