Mary Frances (Gochenaur) Robbins, 76, of 20 West Creek Road, Benton, died peacefully early Friday morning, July 8, 2022, at her home after an illness.

Born on March 29, 1946, at the Bloomsburg Hospital, she was a daughter of the late Russell Gochenaur and Alberta Marie Reed.

She was raised by her grandparents, the late Francis D. and Golda (Boston) Reed.

She was a lifelong resident of Benton, and a 1964 graduate of Benton Area High School.

Mary was last employed as the business manager of the family-owned Robbins Rentals. She previously worked for the former Fulmer's Body Shop and Wrecker Service, and earlier as a secretary for the Pennsylvania Department of Highways in Bloomsburg.

She was a member of the Stillwater Christian Church. She and her husband belonged to the Thousand Trails Camping Club. She enjoyed the time she spent with her family and also enjoyed sewing and cooking. She also often helped her aunt, Beatrice Lanyi, in operating yard sales at her aunt's home.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley A. Hittle, on May 29, 2020; a granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Hittle, on May 3, 1998; and her only aunt, Beatrice Lanyi, on May 6, 2017.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 11 a.m. in the Benton Cemetery, with her pastor, Scott Lyons, officiating.
