On July 31, 1956, the Lord blessed this earth with a baby boy named Michael Bernard Shaw. He was raised in a loving home along with his siblings and was taught many life lessons. While at Raines, Michael was involved in many extracurricular activities, including the newspaper staff. After graduating, Michael spent his collegiate years at Florida Junior College, now known as Florida State College of Jacksonville.

Michael always had a spirit for serving and following his collegiate years, he enlisted in the United States Army in which he was honorably discharged. Michael gained employment with the Federal Bureau of Investigation where he served faithfully for 28 years until his retirement.
