Mary Ellen was born February 18, 1929 in Wapello, Iowa, the daughter of Russell and Hazel (Hamilton) Eubanks.
She graduated from Morning Sun High School. Mary Ellen was united in marriage to Alfred William Jackson on December 21, 1947 in Morning Sun.
She worked for Wingard and also in Home Healthcare. Mary Ellen enjoyed gardening and loved flowers.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Carolyn Fromm (Steven Patterson) of West Burlington, IA; daughter, Christine Sergeant of Longmont, CO; granddaughter, Kathy Bonser (Jeremy Klenk) of Mediapolis, IA; great-grandsons, Andrew and Gage Bonser; step-brother, Dennis Hemphill of Charleston, RI; step-sister-in-law, Louise Hemphill of Burlington, IA; and her beloved dog, Sambo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Harvey Hemphill; husband, Alfred; grandson, Robert William Fromm; son-in-law, Alan Sergeant; sister, Thelma Edwards; step-brother, Jerry Hemphill; and step-sister, Donna Bras.
