Victor A. Hallock, 77, longtime resident and orchardist of Chelan, died Monday at the Chelan hospital.
Mr. Hallock was born at Cayuga N. D., Aug. 31, 1891. He homesteaded at Roy, Mont., in 1913 and married Lillian Frederickson at Zion, Ill., on Nov. 10, 1915.
Surviving are his widow, Lillian Christian, Chelan; four sons, Roy and Dan, both of Chelan; Lee, Wenatchee; Jim, Montesano; one daughter, Mrs. Elton Bryant, Sonora, Calif.; 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Additional information provided by lia hallock: My grandfather Victor Able Hallock was born in Forman, Sargent Co., ND. He met and married Lillian Christina Fredrickson in Roy, Montana. My grandfather pioneered Roy Montana area (Fergus County, MT) and his land adjoined Lillian's. They traded this land sight unseen for an apple farm in Chelan, where they stayed until their deaths. Lillian was the eldest daughter of 7 children of two danish immigrants. Victor was the middle child of five children. He was raised from the age of 8 yrs on ND/SD border by Mr and Mrs Henry Brown, a German couple who were childless. Although he was of Scottish and Irish and English descent, he spoke fluent English and German.
