Monte Rex Carlson, 71, of East Wenatchee, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2009, at home. He was born in Wenatchee, June 6, 1937, to Bruce and Lizetta Carlson. They had a homestead in Pitcher Canyon in Wenatchee. He was a professional truck driver for 15 years, and had a great love of fishing and spending time in the woods. He had a love of drawing and loved to join in on music by playing the spoons. He also liked to garden. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Lou (Ellis) Carlson of East Wenatchee; two daughters, Cindy Cozzalio (Ron Bland) of Nevada and Lori Juchmes (Kevin) of Malaga; two sons, James Carlson (Jodi Bragg) of East Wenatchee and Ryan Carlson of East Wenatchee; eight grandchildren, Misty Juchmes (Tim Jones) of East Wenatchee, Moriah Wagner (Rex) of East Wenatchee, Marck Carlson (Rachel) of Oregon, Jacob Juchmes (Lisa) of Wenatchee, Kelley Carlson of Wenatchee, Jessica Juchmes of Malaga, Jennifer Sines of Wenatchee and Aaron Carlson of Wenatchee; seven great-grandchildren, Austin Wagner, Kadin Juchmes, Alex Wagner, Kaylah Jones and Cameron, Korey and Ryder Carlson; and by many nieces and nephews, good friends and dear friend and caregiver, Jodie Bragg.
