Mr. Callahan was born July 23, 1962, in St. Matthews, SC, a son of David Eugene Callahan and Pauline Harley Callahan. He was a member of the Providence Baptist Church, Orangeburg. He enjoyed fishing and camping.
He is survived by four daughters, Emily Michelle Callahan of Moncks Corner; Amanda Lynn Nayback and her husband Brandon of Admore, OK, Samantha Ann Callahan of Goose Creek and Melissa Eulahmae Cunningham and her husband Jodi of Summerville; a son, Richard Allen Callahan, Jr. of St Stephen; a brother, Willie Callahan of Orangeburg; and five grandchildren, Mikala Lee Nyback, Brandon Nyback, Justin Nyback, Landyn Moorehead, and Lucas Rentschler.
