Floyd Bennis Currie Jr., 75, of Silsbee passed away Saturday, December 18. 2021. He was born on July 23, 1946 in Splendora, Texas to the late Floyd Bennis Currie Sr. and Hazel Powers Currie.
Floyd was a retired truck driver that enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He married his wife Vickie on June 14, 1975 and they were married for 46 years until the time of her passing this past October. They had three children together. Floyd was a loving father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vickie Currie; and sister, Ruby Lily.
Floyd is survived by his children, Kimberly Sallas and husband Jessie, Brandy Kruzan and husband John, Margie Pinkley and husband Chad; sisters, Hazel Burleson and Marie Ethel Lowe; sisters in law, Stacy Kruzan, Delia Riley and husband Sherman; brother in law, William Charles Smith; eleven grandchildren; eight grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Farmer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Magnolia Springs Cemetery near Kirbyville. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5-7PM.
