Curtis M Matthews III, passed away on July 5, 2022 at the age of 57 after fighting courageously through his battle with serious medical issues. He showed his courage through these challenges, despite the pain and stayed strong until the end. Curtis was surrounded by his loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy.
His lengthy career of 25 years as a HVAC Refrigeration Technician gave him great pride. The simplest pleasures brought him great joy. Roaming the beaches of Cape Cod, going to Kelly's Roast Beef and his love for the Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics.
He will be clearly missed by his loved ones and ending our conversations with talk to you later, "you bet".

He is survived by his children, Curtis Matthews IV and Tyler Matthews of New Hampshire. His siblings, Anna (Matthews) Monteforte and her husband Abel Viveiros, Frank Matthews and his wife Rose (Hairston) Matthews, Betty (Matthews) Rice, several nieces, and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the O'keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St, Taunton MA, on Friday, July 8th at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 9:30 AM. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5-7 Pm at the funeral Home. Interment St Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
