WESLEY WAUGH MAYHALL
1923 - 2008


Wesley Waugh Mayhall Sr., 84, passed away Thursday January 10, 2008 at his residence.
He was born February 15, 1923 to the late Clyde E. & Lillie Mamrie Waugh Mayhall. Mr. Mayhall graduated with a law degree from Univ. of Fla. He served in the US Navy during WWII as an airplane mechanic. He retired from Chelsea Land Title Co. He was a charter member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Pace, Florida. He and his wife of 63 years, Annie Ruth Reeves Mayhall, who survives him, moved to North Carolina in 1997, where they became members of Boonville Baptist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a two sisters, Leah Lorry and Jean Hersey.
Surviving are a sister, Clydine Bridgeman; and two brothers, WS Mayhall and Earl Mayhall Surviving are children, Marilyn Bennett (Fred) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Carolyn Lunsford of Statesville (Jim), Debra Sheek (Doug) East Bend, and Wesley Mayhal, Jr. He has 10 grandchildren, Jason and Jared Bennett, David, Annie, and Mamrie Hart, Barron, Wade, and Joshua Sheek, Wesley Mayhall III and Kylie Mayhall. He has eleven great grandchildren.
Though we mourn the loss of a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, we are extremely proud of his life. He was treasured by all who knew him for his unique combination of intelligence, common sense, humor, and kindness.
The family received friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday January 13, 2008 at Boonville Baptist Church.
His funeral was conducted 3:00 PM Sunday January 13, 2008 by the Rev. Ken Boaz.
Burial will follow at Boonville Cemetery.
