Dan Brumley, 78, danced into Heaven on July 4, 2022 from his home in rural Wyandotte, OK.

Dan was born May 14, 1944 in Miami, OK, the son of Dale H. and Bonnie Jean (Jennison) Brumley. He was previously employed at Cone's Meat Packing Company, Miami Meat Company, Frisco-Burlington Northern Rail Road, and Ottawa County Road District. He also owned and operated a farm and Brumley Deer Processing. Dan loved hunting, fishing, country/western dance, four wheeling, camping, being outdoors, spending time with his loved ones and friends, carpentry (even building a beautiful home for his family), and loved his Diet Coke. Dan was a member of the Ottawa Tribe of Oklahoma and a member of the Seneca Christian Church. He was a loving Christian family man, the "favorite" of many, a hard worker since childhood who was always willing to lend a helping hand to others, with an amazing sense of humor and quick wit.

Dan married the love of his life, Phyllis Jo Shelton, on June 20, 1964 in Wyandotte, OK.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two children and their spouses; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. Additional survivors include his siblings, Wyn Linthicum, and Dee Turner and husband Richard, brother-in-law, Alan Shelton and wife Karen, sister-in-law, Judi Shelton, as well as a host of family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him, and especially by his best canine sidekick, Spikey Doodle.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Bonnie Brumley, his in-laws, Hershel A. Shelton and Georgia Pearl Green Shelton, infant daughter, Sandi Jo Brumley, siblings Guy Brumley, Kay Alred, Ann Roberts, and baby brother, Dale Brumley.
