Born in Williamstown, June 20, 1934 a son of the late Richard M. and Jessie C. Lahr Dolan.
He was a 1952 class member of the Williamstown Catholic High School.
Dicko served his country with the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
He retired as a claims examiner at Ft. Indiantown Gap. He was a retired Master Sgt. with the Air Force Reserve, Red Horse Unit at Ft. Indiantown Gap.
Dicko was the Commander of the Williamstown American Legion #239 for 50 years. He will be remembered for his life long dedication to the Legion Post and Club and his devotion for the area veterans and their families.
He was a life member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Williamstown. Williamstown V.F.W., Knights of Columbus, Lykens, Air Force Sergeants Association and the Catholic War Veterans.
He was an avid fan of Notre Dame football and enjoyed traveling to Germany.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce Weist Dolan; 1 son, Michael B. Dolan of Raleigh NC; 3 daughters, Eileen M. Oxenrider and her husband Ned, Tower City; Maureen R. Dolan, Williamstown; Tracie A. Sully, Dillsburg; 3 grandchildren, Jared Reedy, Ned Oxenrider II and Jake Shultz; 1 great grandson, Andreas; and many friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 26th at 10 a.m. from Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Rev. C. Anthony Miller as celebrant. Burial with military honors will be in the parish cemetery. Viewing will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc Tower City. There will be no viewing Saturday. A luncheon will be held at the American Legion following the committal service.
