Benedict, Paul L. Linwood, MI Paul Benedict, 91, passed away on Wednesday September 23, 2014 at Saginaw Healthsource following a brief illness. He was born in Leetonia, Ohio to the late Biagio and Rose (Ferri) Anto Benedetto on February 15, 1923. Paul married the late Rose Marie Rossi in Detroit on September 22, 1945. Paul graduated from Chadsey High School commercial foods program. A member of the United States Army and served in the battle of the bulge during World War II at Normandy . Paul and Rose co-owned and operated the Pinconning Trail House Restaurant with Pete and Jean Martini. Also a head chef at Northwood Inn and at a chef at Oakland Hills Country Club. Surviving are his children Anthony (Lena), Joseph (Marcella), Paul (Jane), Jerry Benedict, and Joy (Jim) McCourt. ; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by 6 brothers; Pasquale Pagnani, Alfred Pagnani, Albert Pagnani, Auggie Benedict, Mike Benedict, Tony Benedict and 3 sisters; Loretta Pagnani, Josephine Bosco, and Mary Torcellini.
