Born August 30, 1938 in Vandergrift, he was the son of the late Harold Watson and Retha Bier Watson.
He worked at Pullman Standard and retired from Allegheny Ludlum. Robert was a member of the NRA. He loved his yard, his tractors, cutting wood and his Ford trucks.
Surviving are his loving wife, Irene Billak Watson, who he married October 9, 1959, his daughter, Jenifer Forester, son, Robert (Angela) Watson, Jr., grandchildren, Erika Watson, Noah Robert Forester, and Zander Thomas Forester, and his sister, Sheryl Watson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Brian Keith Watson and brothers, Jim and Charles Watson.
Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, Pa.
