Edward L. Taylor was born on May 26, 1948 in Ocala, Florida. He was extremely athletic and excelled in track and field, football, baseball and basketball. Additionally, he had a great love for music often singing at various events. He passed away peacefully, Monday, June 27, 2022.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eddie & Albertha Taylor, four siblings and one son.
Awaiting that great day and cherishing his memories are his five children: James Earl Booker, Cynthia D. Evins (Fred), Ennis L. Johnson (Valerie), Edwina Linae Taylor-Grayer, and Marlon Taylor (Elicia). Twelve Grandchildren: Shermelia Booker, Deborah Booker, ToCarra Evins, Tyesha Evins, Fabian Johnson, Devonte Johnson, Deion Johnson, Dominique Henry, Ethan Taylor, Orion Grayer, Marlon Taylor, Jr., and Mariel Taylor; and eleven great-grandchildren. Four sisters: Dr. Rosa Taylor Banks, Marcia Regeanna Shaw (Herb), Debra Briggs, and Carla Parrish (Jimmy). Three brothers: Pastor Willie Taylor (Jeanette Vickie), Sylvester Taylor (Paulette), and Warren Taylor. One brother-in-law, Cleveland Williams and one sister-in-law Cheryl Taylor. Edward had a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved and treasured dearly, cousins and sorrowing classmates and friends.

Life Celebration for Mr. Taylor will be on Sunday, July 10, 2022, 1:00pm at Shiloh Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 500 SW 17th Ave, Ocala Florida 34471, Dr. Rudolph Sterling, Pastor. Pastor W. L. Taylor will be conducting the words of comfort. Visitation will be at Sellers Funeral Home on Friday from 1pm to 3pm. No viewing following the eulogy.
