Wayne and his wife Ann moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; from Galveston, IN; in 1981. He worked for the City of Lake Havasu as a driver in the street department, where he made many friends. Wayne worked for the City for 15 years and upon his wife's retirement from the hospital in 1999, they moved to Tucson, AZ.
Wayne is survived by his daughter; Melody Brooks and her husband Don of Tucson, AZ; son, Lee Elkins and his wife Pat of Texas; brother, Bob Elkins of Fort Worth, TX; 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death wife of 52 years, Ann who passed away on March 8, 2003.
Graveside services will be held at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens on Monday, January 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.
