Aaron Lewis Mitchell, 90, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, died January 23, 2008 at Springdale Health and Rehab. He was born January 31, 1917 at Whitener, Arkansas, the son of Aaron and Rhoda Wilks Mitchell. He was employed by Shipley Baking Company for twenty years and had retired from the Huntsville Water Department after many years of service. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Johnson, Arkansas, a member of Huntsville Lodge #364, Free and Accepted Masons, Huntsville Chapter #154, Royal Arch Masons, Huntsville Council #77, Royal and Select Masters, Saint John's Commandery #36, Knights Templar and Scimitar Shrine Temple. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Arene McChristian Mitchell on September 22, 2002. He was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Dean Mitchell, one brother, Max Mitchell, one sister, Katherine Johnson and one great-grandson, Joel Gaines.
Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Sondra and Gene Walker and Joyce and Quentin Bowerman, all of Fayetteville, Arkansas; five grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Friday, January 25, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home. Interment will be in Wesley Cemetery
