Wade died on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at his residence in Marshall at the age of 48 years and 11 months. Wade is the son of Donna (DeVos) Johnson and Ward L. Johnson. Wade was born at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul, MN, on July 9, 1973. He was baptized at Holy Family Catholic Church in St. Louis Park, MN. When Wade was two years old, his family moved back to Marshall. He went to Holy Redeemer School until eighth grade, then to Marshall High School where he graduated in 1990. Wade made his first communion and was confirmed at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. He worked at the Union 76, Heartland Foods and Kerr's Shoe and Boot Repair. Wade attended West Lake Institute for computer repair in 1993. He was dedicated to his work and took pride in accomplishing difficult tasks.
Wade grew up enjoying his sister Mary's company. Later, Brian Christensen joined the family as Mary's husband. Wade was a loving uncle to his niece, Gabi Christensen. He enjoyed loving support from his Mom, Donna.
He is survived by his mother, Donna (DeVos) Johnson, brother-in-law Brian Christensen and niece, Gabi Christensen.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ward Johnson and sister Mary (Johnson) Christensen; grandparents Julius and Mary (Brewers) DeVos and Arthur and Edith Johnson.
