Lois Ann Solomon, age 84, of Greenville, formerly of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Spectrum Health-United Hospital in Greenville.

The daughter of Robert Benjamin & Ruth Lucille (Studer) Drage, she was born on St. Valentine's Day, February 14, 1938 in Canton, Ohio. After graduating high school, she attended Phoenix College and Arizona State University, was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, and was then recruited by United Airlines as a flight attendant. After years of flying, on February 6, 1960, in Phoenix, Arizona, she married a passenger, Kenneth Lavern Solomon, and they made their home in Phoenix, before moving to Greenville.

In Greenville, Lois worked for Dr. Steve Youn, M.D., was part of the original staff opening of the Greenville West J.C. Penney department store, and after retiring, she joined Isabella Bank, where she continued spreading cheer wherever she was. Her warm personality, smile, and quick wit made customer service her gift and her garage sales were an event! She also belonged to the United Airlines Clipped Wings, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Flat River Historical Soceity.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Solomon on June 2, 2005; her sister, Doris; and four sisters-in-law.

Surviving are her two children, Denise & Bill Kuester of Mesa, Arizona and Bob & Alexis Solomon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Judy & Ed Logan of Litchfield, Arizona and Carol & Alan Wiltse of Tracy, California; her grandson, Ryan & Penelope Carroll of Chandler, Arizona; her sister-in-law, Judy Padilla of Hastings; her best friend, Mrs. Dale Ripplinger of Greenville; and many nieces, nephews and community friends.

As Lois requested, a private celebration of her life will be held with final interment at Elmwood Cemetery in Wayland. Instead of flowers, Lois would have appreciated contributions in her memory to either the Fighting Falcon Military Museum or the Flat River Historical Society & Museum.
