Susan was preceded in death by her sister Barbara McDonald, and first husband Gene Smith. Susan is survived by her husband Wilson Hartranft of Womelsdorf, PA, her brother Henry Gosch of Dubois, PA, sons Eric (Lisa) Smith of Ellicott City, MD, Mark (Tina) Smith of Dundalk, MD.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nathan (Anna) Smith of Rockland, ME, Aly (Taylor) Rousseau of Annapolis, MD, Jessica Smith of Brooklyn, NY, Daniel Dietz of Delta, PA, Jessica (James) Francis of Delta, PA, Joshua Snyder of Middle River, MD. and great-grandchildren, Olivia Rousseau, Jakob Dietz, Faith Dietz, Savannah Dietz, Brayden Francis, Preston Francis, Chase Snyder.
Susan's extended Hartranft family includes Scott (Betsey) Hartranft, Barbara (Bob) Jakubek, Betsy (Steve) Mastrocola, Tracey (Buddy) Jarrell, Amy (Daryl) Mountz. Additionally she has eight Hartranft grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Susan will be fondly remembered by so many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Susan was a kind soul and loved by all she came in contact with. She loved country and western music, Sunday drives through the countryside, attending mud sales, coloring, baking shoo-fly pies and staying connected to her widely dispersed family through exchanging emails and photos.
