Catherine "Joyce" Lynch Morgan

Catherine "Joyce" Lynch Morgan of Powhatan, VA passed away on Monday July 4, 2022.

Funeral service will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville, NC on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 9:30am with interment to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro, NC.

Joyce was one of 8 children growing up on a farm. As an adult she often shared stories of the adventures of playing and working on the farm. Her stories were captivating and painted a vivid picture of the innocent and serene life of growing up on the farm in the 1940's and early 1950's. As an adult she loved to fish and would hold a fishing pole for hours just waiting to get a bite.

She touched the lives of many with her sometimes spunky and unfiltered candor. She was a child at heart until the end. Her free spirit and carefree essence will remain in our hearts forever.

She married Clarence William Morgan in 1954. They divorced in 1982.

Catherine is survived by her sisters, Doris Woolfenden of Dumfries, VA and Violet Slack of Browns Summit, NC; brother, Calton Lynch of Greensboro, NC; three children, six grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
