He owned and operated New-Aire Fireplace Manufacturing in Joplin, MO for several years. Jack was a member of the Eastern-Shawnee Tribe and served as Second Chief for 12 years. He served in the United States Army from 1955-1958. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Commerce, OK.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Gene Ross, Tommy Ross and Wendell Ross.
Jack is survived by his wife Norma Ross of the home, 1 son, Jay Ross and his wife Jeana of Neosho, MO, 6 brothers, Carl Allen Ross, Preston Ross, Captain Ross, Gary Ross, Randy Ross and David Ross, 4 sisters, Marilee Squirrel, Nancy Smith, Renee Flatter and Suzy Ross, 1 granddaughter, Jaymi Thompson and her husband Rick of Joplin, MO and 2 great-grandchildren, Cali Thompson and Rickie Thompson.
