Jane was the light of life and brought love, hysterics, and friendship to all who knew her. Memories will last forever from the shores of Green Harbor, Massachusetts; the parties of Bitburg Germany; and the sing-alongs at the Western Bar at the Apple Valley Inn. Jane will always be known for her quick wit, Irish pride, love of beach sand between her toes, graceful carving of the slopes, her "Piano-Grams", and "Birthday Bucks".
She was born in Summerville, Massachusetts on May 3, 1939. Her love for summers with family and friends in Green Harbor could not be measured – and she would pass this love on to her family.
Jane graduated from Notre Dame Academy and received her B.A. from Boston Teachers College. The piano-playing kindergarten teacher met her husband, Charles "Chuck" McGregor Sr (Col USAF) in Rye, New Hampshire, wed in 1966, and would be married for 47 years until his passing in 2013. Through their frequent military commitments, Jane's energy and dedication to her family was boundless.
She was the leader of the original High Desert Dance Band in Apple Valley; and was well-known for bringing musical cheer to those in convalescent homes with her endless repertoire of songs always at the ready by memory.
Jane spent the last four years of her life in San Diego with her dedicated and loving daughter, Bonnie, who kept her always on the move and ensured she received plenty of adventure, sun and beach time.
She will forever be missed.
Jane is survived by her children, brother, daughter in-law and two grandchildren.
