SCARBOROUGH – David Harding Robinson, 61, of Scarborough, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, Nov. 26, 2021. Dave was born in Rochester, N.H., on Jan. 10, 1960, to Neil and Janice Robinson. He grew up with his two brothers in Dover, N.H., but spent most of his life living in Maine.

Although Dave was a licensed electrician for many years, there was nothing that he enjoyed more than hunting and fishing which led him to become a Registered Maine Guide. His longtime dream was to own a cabin in northern Maine, spending his time enjoying life off of the grid. Some of his favorite moments were those he spent at his friend's camp in Millinocket, with limited cell service, no TV and hours of nature. Dave was also a master fly-tyer, a skill he loved to share. He taught a fly-tying course at LL Bean in the '90s and gave demonstrations to his children's classes at school. Liking to be active, he was also a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, including a stint as the president of the Portland Aerie. He participated on their men's softball team through the 90's, and played in their pool league for a number of years. Although his activities were a big part of his life, nothing was more important than his family.

Dave is predeceased by his father, Neil Robinson. He is survived by his mother, Janice Robinson of Wells Beach; his former wife, Sherri Robinson; daughter, Brianna Robinson and her partner Kyle Goncalves; son, Patrick Robinson; three grandchildren, Mya, Kyra and Reya Goncalves; two brothers, Dean and his wife Karen Robinson of Sanford, and Douglas and his wife Debbi Robinson of Valdosta, Ga.; an aunt, an uncle and many cousins.

Visiting hours will on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021, from 1:30-2:30 p.m., at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford. A memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be at a later date.
