Mary Ann Turner, 83 of Mancelona passed away July 1, 2022 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. She was born March 26, 1939 in Hamtramck, MI the daughter of Martin and Cecilia (Wysocki) Cermak.
Mary Ann was a devout Catholic and a very active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Mancelona. She served as their fulltime parish secretary for many years and helped make sure all aspects of the church ran smoothly.
She was kind, caring, and compassionate to all who knew her. She enjoyed gardening and playing cards too. Mary Ann especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving is her daughter Gail Straight of Central Lake, brother Michael (Lynn) Cermak, grandchildren Kayla Straight of Central Lake, Desiree Peters of Mancelona, and great grandchildren Oaklynn and Gabrielle. Also surviving are sisters Patricia Grove and Barbara (Brian) Morton.
Proceeding her in death is her loving husband William, grandson Rodney Ball II, great grandsons Christopher, Conner, Bryar, and sister Doloros Barronton.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Mancelona with Fr. Chet Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 5, from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
Arrangements are in the care of the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
