Jeanette Yvonne Jordan is the youngest child of Samuel Hector and Ora Lee Horn, born in Goose Creek, Texas on November 23, 1933. Yvonne passed away March 2, 2022 in Humble, Texas surrounded by her loving family.
Yvonne married the love of her life, Gene Tunney Jordan on August 24, 1951. They were married for 56 wonderful years until Gene passed away December 4, 2007. They resided in Silsbee for many years where they raised their three beautiful children. Mrs. Jordan retired after working many years at Hardin Savings & Loan in Silsbee.
In her spare time, Yvonne enjoyed researching her family tree and was a member of the Hardin County Genealogical Society. One of her passions was her yard and flowers, prompting her to take classes to become a Master Gardener. Mrs. Jordan was a member of the Women's Club in Silsbee, serving a term as secretary. She also shared a love of woodworking and painting with her husband, Gene.
She is survived by her children, Judy Jordan-Rash of Tomball, Gregg Jordan and wife Michelle of Deer Park, and Todd Jordan and wife Julia of Atascocita. Yvonne is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Jordan Rash, Will Rash, Jessica Jordan, and Mallorie Jordan and great grandchildren Christopher Jordan, Lucca Jordan, Elliot Rash, and Lucy Rash, as well as numerous family and friends.
Mrs. Jordan is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother and sisters.
Yvonne will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
