Mary Neal, 65, of Jefferson City passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at St. Mary's Hospital, Jefferson City.
She was born May 20, 1956 in St. Louis to the late Richard and Anna (Reinsch) Buhs.
Mary grew up in Westphalia and graduated from Jefferson City High School.
She attended Columbia College and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice.
Mary was a Paraprofessional with Jefferson City Public Schools, substitute teaching in the middle schools.
Whether it was fishing on Binder Lake, flower gardening or feeding and watching the birds, Mary loved being outdoors with nature.
She was a wonderful cook and knew how to fix some mean fried chicken.
Mary had a great sense of humor and the gift of being a good listener. You could always count on her compassion, empathy and good advice.
Survivors include her daughter, Holly (Chris) Wiseman of Jefferson City, grand daughter, Sadie Elizabeth and sister, Patricia (Ken) Lock of Wardsville.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
