Earl (Buckey) was in the Navy with our brother Gerald (Jerry). Jerry received letters most days from our family especially our mother Hazel Bunker. It always made Buckey excited because he had never received 1 letter. Jerry always to him storied about our very large extended family and all the fun we had. Buckey really missed that. So, they both went on to trade school after basic and their first assignment was in San Diago. Our dad had a terrible car crash and had passed away, so our mother Hazel Bunker wanted to take a leave from her Job at Western Stamping and with her 2 daughters (Me and Janet) travel with Jerry and his wife Peggy and their newborn son Glenn (Stub) To San Diago. The job hunting did not work out, so Mom and I flew bac to Jackson Michigan. Janet did not want to go home. She knows Buckey would be soon coming to San Diago from overseas and she felt he loved him and wanted to stay. She did promise mom she would finish her school. (But of course, she never did). When Buckey came home he saw Janet and right away he asked her to marry him. Jerry and Peggy took them to Las Vagas and they got married. At the time of his death, they had been married about 64 years! They have 2 sons, 10 Grands and several Greats and still going.
