Gloria Powell Pearson was born on May 6, 1952 in Raeford, NC to Callie Powell Williams (the late Bishop Marvin Williams} and the late Robert Steele (the late Margaret Steele}. She departed this life on June 24, 2022 at Moore Regional Hospital in Southern Pines, NC.
She matriculated her education in the Hoke County school system. Gloria was a hard and dedicated worker. She worked 20 years at Burlington Mills and 11 years at Super 10 before entering into the field of education where she served until she was called home.
During her earthly time, she was a member of Sandy Grove A.M.E Zion Church as well as Freedom Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. She was loved by everyone she came in contact with. She always made sure everyone had a place to stay. She opened her doors to anyone that needed it. Gloria never met a stranger.
Gloria is survived by her wonderful and devoted husband of 34 years Alvin Pearson Jr., her mother Callie Williams, three daughters Felicia Cobb (Jerry), Pamela Cagle and Maneisha Bratcher (Eric) and one son Lewis Cagle (Jackie), 15 grandchildren Jefferey Judd, Jerry Cobb, Jr. (special friend Autumn), Jerlicia Cobb, Raheem Davis (LaResha), Shuneka Davis, Christopher Davis (Brianna), Aaron Hassan, Lewis Smith, Kendra Cagle, Josten Cagle, Felix Davenport, Krystal Robinson (Charles), Eric Bratcher Jr. (special friend Renee), Ericqueisha Bratcher, Emmanuel Bratcher, and one adopted granddaughter Brouke Witherspoon. 20 great grandchildren, 4 sisters Trustee Sheila Williams, Pastor Celeste
