Of Clio, age 73, died Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Angola Indiana Speedway. A memorial service has been planned for 3:30pm, Wednesday, July 29, 2009. The family will be present to receive friends at the Speedway from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Johnny Burke Children's Fund. Cremation has taken place.

Phil was born August 10, 1935 in Flint the son of Mr. and Mrs. William and Melvina (Gilliland) Priebe. He and Anne Lindsay Priebe were united in marriage February 17, 1959. He was a Korean War Veteran. He spent more than 20 years in Boy Scouting, serving as Scoutmaster, Training Chairman and numerous other positions. He wore three Woodbadge Beads and was a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. His highest priority in life was involvement with his grandchildren's activities. Stock car racing has been his hobby since the 60's. He most recently followed his son and grandsons in their racing careers.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents, brother and three of his sisters.
