MATHEWS - Ernest "Shorty" Shepard, 87, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006. He was a resident of Riverside-Mathews Convalescent Center, Mathews, since 1987. He is survived by the staff of Riverside-Mathews Convalescent Center and Beatrice and Billy Davis. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006 in the St. Paul Annex Cemetery, Susan, Va. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Shorty's memory may be made to the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 723, Mathews, Va. 23109 Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
