Laura Silva (nee Bujosa), age 89, late of the East Side passed away on November 5, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Gerardo Silva. Loving mother of Myrna Marrero, Jose Silva, Alma (Jose) Silva, Laura (Sam) Rosado and Jesus Silva. Devoted grandmother of Richard, Laura, Joey, Christina, Alexandra, Adriana, Samantha, Amanda, Adam, Niko, Veronica, Sabrina and Briana. Cherished great-grandmother of many. Dear daughter of the late Jose and late Emilia Bujosa. Dearest sister of Octavio (late Brunilda) Bujosa and 3 other brothers who preceded her in death. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Growing up on a 500 acre coffee farm near a lake in Puerto Rico, mom enjoyed the outdoors. She loved riding horses, boat racing and hanging out with family. She also enjoyed cooking for an army. All who visited never left hungry. There was always a pot of P.R. rice ready to be served. Mom also enjoyed traveling, sewing and watching novelas in her spare time.

Visitation Friday 2-8pm. Funeral services Saturday, November 9, 2019 8:45am prayers from Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Mass 9:30am. Cemetery private.
