Everett Houghton, 56, of Bethany, Missouri, formerly of Adair County, died Wednesday January 25, 1989 in the Bethany Hospital.
Born December 10, 1932 in Adair County, he was the son of Everett and Edith (Watson) Houghton. On June 9, 1957 in Adair County, he married Elnora Marler, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Melvin Houghton of Bethany; two daughters, Donna Jean Wilson of St. Joseph, Missouri and Shirlene Houghton of Kirksville; his mother, Edith Houghton of Kirksville; one sister, Lorene Taylor of LaPlata and two grandchildren.
Mr. Houghton had been a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Bethany where funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning January 28, 1989.
Graveside services will be held at two o'clock Saturday afternoon at Maple Hills cemetery in Kirksville under the direction of Roberson-Polley Funeral Home of Bethany, Missouri.
