Ron Johnson, age 65, of Long Beach, passed away July 1, 2022.

He worked on the Gulf Coast as a heavy equipment salesman for over 35 years. He loved his Atlanta Braves, New Orleans Saints, LSU Tigers, and NASCAR.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Johnson; mother, Julia Johnson; niece, Katie M. Shavers; and nephew, Corey G. Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne "Pretty Suzy" Johnson, the love of his life he cherished every moment with her; 2 wonderful sons he was so proud and could never stop talking about how proud he was of their accomplishments, Steven "Scuba" Johnson and Marc Johnson; 2 step sons, Christopher Clark and Kevin Clark and beautiful daughter-in-law, Joy Clark; 5 beautiful granddaughters, Kenleigh Clark, Reese Clark, Mia Clark, Paityn Johnson, and Finley Morgan; a special great-niece, Julianne (Jules) Shavers; his siblings, Gene (Shannon) Johnson, Dale (Tammy) Johnson, and Kathy Shavers (Dan), and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family would like to send a special thanks to all the amazing staff at Ochsner Medical Center for the loving care they gave him. Special thanks to Tara and Nicole who showed all of us so much love.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, from 5 - 7 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd, Long Beach. The funeral service will be at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be in Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens.
