John Robert Wheeler was born in Galesburg Illinois on February 18th,1976 the son of John Raymond Wheeler and Frances Arlene (Martin) Wheeler. John attended School in Galva Illinois. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family along with fishing, movies. John was very close with his family and loved his family dearly.
John passed away on June 3,2022 in Peoria Illinois of natural causes. He is proceeded in death by his father John Raymond Wheeler, paternal grandparents Elam (Red) Wheeler, wife Nina June (Capps) wheeler, David L. Wheeler, Karl Nordstrom and wife Jean A. (Wheeler) Nordstrom, Aunt Ginger Wheeler, and uncle Joe Prinnell and great grandparents.
Maternal grandparents William Alva Martin and wife Helen P. (Winemiller) Martin, uncle Alvin L, Martin, uncle Leroy Williams, cousin Johnny Ray Martin and great grandparents.
John is survived by his mother Frances A. (Martin) Wheeler from Kewanee Illinois, two sons Johnathan Gulley, also from Kewanee Illinois, and Alex Mendell, from Sparta Tennessee; and two grandchildren Marley and Fenix Mendell. He is also survived by one sister Contina (Tina) Wheeler Hernblom from Kewanee Illinois, Hunter N. Hernblom and her significant other Nathen Quin, great nieces Karma J. Shaefer and Kassandra R. Hernblom, and great nephew Cody M. Wittmeyer all of Kewanee Illinois. Two brothers Bradly (Brad) E. Wheeler and Charles (Chuck) A. Wheeler, and beloved ex brother in law David W. Hernblom, all of Galva Illinois, also survive him.
Paternal Uncle Terry L. Wheeler and wife Joyce Wheeler, uncle Steven Wheeler, aunt Donna wheeler all from Mt. Vernon Illinois, aunt June A. (Wheeler) Prinnell of Manito Illinois. Maternal Uncle Paul Yanz and wife Linda (Martin) Yanz, uncle Ron Dye and wife Sheila Dye, aunt Aileen (Martin) Williams all of Mt. Vernon Illinois along with several cousins and extended family members.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, June 14, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. Memorials may be made in John's honor to Hughey Funeral Home for funeral expenses.

Hernblom, and great nephew Cody M. Wittmeyer all of Kewanee Illinois. Two brothers Bradly (Brad) E. Wheeler and Charles (Chuck) A. Wheeler, and beloved ex brother in law David W. Hernblom, all of Galva Illinois, also survive him.
