Mr. Bobby C. Guffey, age 85 of Grant, Alabama passed away Friday, July 1, 2022 at his home.

Bobby was born in Marshall County on July 5, 1936 to McKinley & Nellie Grace Guffey. He joined the Navy in 1956 and served three years on the USS Jason (ARH-1). After his service, he worked for many years as a brick mason.

Mr. Guffey is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ann Guffey; daughter, Samantha Lemley (Jeff); daughter-in-law, Jenny Corbin Guffey; grandsons, Dylan Wayne Guffey (Amy) and Bobby Shane Guffey; great grandchildren, Layla Grace Guffey and Ayden Wayne Guffey; brothers, Jimmy Guffey and Mike Guffey; sister, Mary Guffey Ledbetter; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Marty Wayne Guffey; parents, McKinley & Nellie Grace Guffey; and sisters, Joan Haygood and Doris Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Grant Memorial Chapel with Rev. Anthony Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Prospect Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12 noon until time of service.
