Geneva M. Barker, 78, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 4:35AM on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the Covington Care Center, Covington, Ohio. She was born May 21, 1929 in Tipp City, Ohio, to the late Floyd D. Calicoat Sr. and Altha M. (Kingery) Calicoat. She married James S. Barker, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Barker is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Julie Barker of Troy, OH; daughters and son-in-law: Pamela Miller of Troy, OH and Denise and Jeff Baum of Troy, OH; four grandchildren: David and Angie, Zachery, Andrea, and Adam; and three great-grandchildren: Johnathan, Preston, and Daisy.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barker was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki Barker; four brothers: Lloyd Calicoat, Forrest Calicoat, Harold Calicoat, and Floyd Calicoat, Jr.
She was a 1944 Graduate of Tipp City High School and she attended the Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ.
Mrs. Barker was a former Avon representative and longtime homemaker.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, January 26, 2008, at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio, with Rev. Craig Showalter officiating. Interment will be at Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio. Friends may call from 4-8PM Friday at the funeral home.
