Richard Glenn Potter, 67, of Allen, passed away on March 21, 2020. Richard was born July 25, 1952, in Emporia, to William and Katherine (Marlatt) Potter. He grew up in Cottonwood Falls. He began his trucking career at a young age following in his big brother's footsteps. He spent many years trucking with JD Miller, Calhoun, and Peak and Dial trucking.

Richard was united in marriage to Gay Spry and to this marriage a son, Jason, was born. Their marriage ended in divorce. Richard was later united in marriage to Rochelle Ashlock. They had three daughters, Shakoda, Danielle, and Satanna. That marriage also ended in divorce.

Richard was preceded in death by his daughter, Shakoda Shell Potter ; parents; brothers, Bill Potter, Leslie Potter, and Jack Potter; and sister, Marla Fulkerson.

He is survived by his son, Jason Potter of Allen; daughters, Danielle Albert and husband Jason of Madison, and Satanna Potter of Eureka; grandchildren, Sadie Albert, Logan Albert, and Glenlee Bane; brother, Dan Potter, of Cunningham; and sisters, Joyce Buckridge of Americus, and Donna Slade of Oakley.

Due to the current coronavirus situation, there will be a private immediate family only graveside and a public memorial service at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Richard Potter Memorial Fund, in care of Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, PO Box 220, Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
