Johnny Davis, Sr., age 74 of Albany, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022 after a brief battle with AMML leukemia. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10am, Saturday, July 9th at Albany Cemetery pavilion with Chris Beard officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm, Friday, July 8th at Morehart Mortuary of Albany.

Johnny Lee Davis was born May 18, 1948 in Odessa, Texas to George Vernon Davis and Mildred Miears. Johnny worked as a welder until he retired. Johnny enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandkids. He was a die-hard Albany Lions fan and was known as Grandpa to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Davis and Mildred Deal; his step father, Jim Deal; two sisters, Shirley Davis and Donette Kemp.

Johnny is survived by his two sons, Joe Grossl, Johnny Lee Davis, Jr.; four daughters, Kelley Jones and husband Ken, Amy Davis, Dora Norman, Matilda Shrestha; four brothers, Jerry Wayne Deal, Kenneth Deal, James Deal, David Deal; two sisters, Vicky Amy, Dee Lynn; fifteen grandchildren, LeAnn Jones, KC Jones, Justin Jones, Ethan Green, Clay Green, John Munoz, Joseph Grossl, Harley Davis, Zavyn Knight, Jesse Lee Davis, Sydney Dudley, Jonathan Dudley, Ana Dudley, Sophia Dudley, Ava Dudley; five great grandchildren.
