Mr. Floyd W. Salley, 94, resident of Pineville, Louisiana and former resident of Eupora, died after a brief illness Sunday, July 26, 1992 at Annie Mae Matthews Nursing Home in Alexandra, Louisiana. He was the husband of Mrs. Allene Landrum Salley.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 1992 at Milligan Springs Baptist Church. Dr. Landrum Salley officiated, assisted by Mr. Russ White. Burial followed in the Milligan Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Salley was a retired farmer and businessman and member of West Shady Grove Baptist Church in Webster County. He had served for 20 years on the Board of Supervisors, serving as its president for 16 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Allene Landrum Salley of Pineville, Louisiana; his son, Dr. Landrum Salley of Pineville; his sister, Mrs. Pauline Kilgore of Greenville; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Serving as pallbearers were George Salley, James Salley, David Keith, Talmadge Golding, Joe Salley, Billy Salley, Russell Hood and James Kilgore. Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
