Marie Butler Terry, 66, of Oneida, passed away suddenly Monday evening, January 10, at the Scott County Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Artis Butler and was also preceded in death by one sister, Alice Thomas; and one brother, Odel Butler.
She was a "Born-Again" Christian of non-denominated faith.
Mrs. Terry is survived by her mother, Pearl Moore Butler of Robbins; husband, Lonnie B. Terry of Oneida; three daughters: Mrs. Herbert (Helen) Crabtree of Route 1, Helenwood, Mrs. Hubert (JoAnn) Winchester and Mrs. Bobby Jo (Imogene) Adams, both of Oneida; four sons: Estel Terry of Robbins, James Lawton Terry of Oneida, Ralph Terry of the Pine Hill community, and Eddie Dean Terry of Oneida; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) January 13, at the West-Murley Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. John Gray and Rev. Roscoe Bowling, both of Kentucky, officiating. The Ricky Lloyd Family will sing.
Burial will be in the Peaceful Rose Gardens in the Paint Rock community. West-Murley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
