Lorie worked for over 32 years with Coates America. She was always joking and cutting up. She loved watching Andy Griffith and going to the beach but her greatest love was her family. She will always be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend to all who knew her.
Surviving in addition to her mother, Judy Byrd Buchanan is her loving son, David Bailey, also of Ledger; granddaughter who she adored, Gracie Bailey; and brother, Nathan Buchanan and his wife, Sandy, who she considered her "sister", of Ledger. Several special cousins and other extended family also survive.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29th at Bear Creek Baptist Church. Pastor Bruce Cannon and their Youth Pastor, Dale Buchanan, will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
