Marlene was born on December 19, 1936 in Butler County. She was the daughter of the late John and Ruby Mahan Goldner.
Marlene served the community for 44 years as the elected tax collector in Concord Township, retiring at the end of 2021. She also was a member of the Butler Memorial Hospital Auxiliary where she enjoyed volunteering.
She enjoyed scrapbooking, movies, music, gardening, but most of all, spending time with her two grandsons, Dylan and Chase.
Marlene is survived by daughter, Cindy Lucas Haggerty and her husband, Paul; two grandsons, Dylan Jack Haggerty and Chase Michael Haggerty; two sisters, Fay Wilson and Rita Conte, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Jack Lucas, who died in 2010, and two sisters, Joan Metz and Jean Forsyth.
Interment will be in Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora.
