Russell W. Ellis, age 63, of Petal, MS, passed away on June 23, 2022.

Russell was a native of Pass Christian, MS. He attended Christ Episcopal Schools then attended Swanee University, TN. He was an independent Real Estate Appraiser. Russell served as a page to Ben Stone in Jackson, MS and Trent Lot in Washington, D.C. In his youth he rode dirt bikes and he raced in motor cross. He also loved to water ski and fish. Russell grew up attending Trinity Episcopal Church in Pass Christian, MS.

Russell was preceded in death by his loving parents, John C. Ellis, and Alicia R. Ellis; his brother-in-law, Johnny Hanson; and his sister-in-law, Kim Ellis.

He is survived by his children Jaqueline Rene Speake, Joseph Speake "Joe", Russell William Ellis, Jr. (Sheryl); his siblings, Janet Gordon (Mason), John C. Ellis III, and Elizabeth E.; his grandchildren, Aubrey, Reagan, Troy, and Sydney.

Russell will be missed by his family and those that knew and loved him. He had a fun personality and was kindhearted.

The visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 1:00pm, with the prayer service at 2:00pm, both at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 141 Hwy 90, Waveland.

Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Pass Christian.
