Loretta Gertrude Smith, age 77, of Clarksville, TN, passed away Friday, July 1, 2022, surrounded by family.


Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Larry Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.


Loretta entered this life on April 3, 1945, in Bronx, New York. She was a retired office manager for American Endoscopy Services. She was the Zone President of LWML at Grace Lutheran. Loretta was a devoted mother, grandmother, and Christian. She enjoyed serving in her community and church.


She is preceded in death by her husband, Emil "Smitty" Smith; parents, Thomas and Eleanor Schrantz Barrett; biological parents, Loretta and John O'Conner; sister, Theresa Tedesco, and brother, Thomas Halaburda.


Survivors include her son, Thomas (Karen) Smith of Longmeadow, MA; daughter, Tammy (Don) Beechum of Stewart County, TN; sisters, Carol Corbisero and JoAnne Kuhl; grandchildren, Tyler (Kaci) Coffman, Mackenzie Coffman, Emilee Smith, Nicholas Smith, Tamara Beechum, Donna Beechum, and Katilyn Shannon; great-grandchildren, Carter Coffman, Cutler Coffman, Emillia Coffman, Tripp Beechum, Ansleigh Beechum, and Autumn Beechum.


Pallbearers will be Don Beechum, Nicholas Smith, Tyler Coffman, and Terry Batson.


Nave Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
