Mr. Hawthorne was a salesman for Pillsbury Co. for 16 years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of America Legion Post No. 184, Wildwood.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a graduate of LaSalle University of Philadelphia. He lived in Cape May 21 years.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Louis R.C. Church, West Cobbs Creek Parkway and Parmley Avenue, Yeadon, Pa., where friends may call 30 minutes earlier.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon.
