William Clark "Daddy Bill"
William Clark was the third of six children born to the late Dorothy and Arthur Clark, Sr. in Unadilla, Georgia on May 24, 1944. His family moved from Georgia in 1944 to Cincinnati, Ohio. He confessed Christ at an early age and became a long-time member of Beulah Missionary Baptist Church, singing in the Youth Choir and a faithful member of the Male Chorus. One of his favorite songs was "Going Up Yonder" and he often recited the Psalm 1 scripture. He loved the Lord and his church. William attended Cincinnati Public School and graduated from Taft High School. He continued his education, graduating from Compton College with a degree in Business Administration. William became a U.S. Navy Enlisted Sailor on May 22, 1963. He served four years and received an honorable discharge while stationed in California. William met the love of his life, Werthala Weary. They married on November 17, 1979. Werthala had three children, Tony, Angie and Carla prior to this union and then God blessed them with two more children, Cory and Arthur. He was a husband, a good provider and a caring and nurturing man. Affectionately called "Daddy Bill" by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, William instilled in them the right way to live and taught them many life lessons. They had fun together, especially at the amusement parks where he often loved to take them. Yes, they loved him very much. William worked for the United States Postal Service and retired after 44 years. After retirement, he and his family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio to be close to and help care for his mother. After a brief illness, God called him from labor to reward on June 23, 2022. God has a greater calling for William.

William was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Clark, Jr., sister, Mary Rachel Clark and stepdaughter, Carla Weary.

Celebrating his life and cherishing his memory are his wife, Werthala Clark; sons, Cory Clark and Arthur Clark of Cincinnati, Ohio; stepchildren, Tony Townsend and Angie Weary of California; in addition to his three brothers, Clarence Clark (Umerline), Benjamin Clark and Carl Clark, Sr., all of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother-in-law, Robert Rusch; two sisters-in-law, Bennie Rusch and Nell Mosley, all of Chicago, Illinois; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
